Welcome!

The Arrival

The somewhat "different" arrival

If you spend your vacation at Bergeralm, you can expect a wonderful stay in a rustic alpine lodge which is at the same time in the middle of dreamlike snowy mountains but also conveniently located right next to the ski slopes and the “Magic” 6-seater ski lift. Picture this: You wake up in the morning and fuel up for the day with a hearty breakfast. Then you are ready to make your first turns on the freshly prepared and pristine-looking slopes. Well, all of this necessitates a slightly different arrival.

Make sure to arrive already in ski clothes

Our recommendation for a short stay: Just bring a backpack with you instead of a suitcase or larger bag because this saves you having to check in your luggage. On the departure day, you will also be more independent regarding time since your luggage (if it needs to be transported) must already be placed in front of our house at 7.30 in the morning for collection.

Parking

Parking spaces in Saalbach require payment. We recommend the parking garage at the “Kohlmaisbahn” (cable car) – not to be confused with the garage in the town centre as you cannot park there unless you stay for 7 days or more.

Arrival with more luggage

Ask an employee at the Kohlmaisbahn where the luggage drop-off point for the “Arrival Bergeralm” is located. Your luggage will be taken to the mountain lodge later in the afternoon – this transport is free of charge. A consolation for the parking fee at the garage is that your car is safely parked in a guarded garage while you, on the other hand, are staying right next to the ski slopes. On top of that, you avoid having to shovel off your car in case of snowfall.

How to get to the Bergeralm

Take the Kohlmaisbahn (cable car) up to the mountain station and use the right exit. Keep to the left side of the slope and ski onto the tow path. After a few minutes, you will reach Bergeralm.

Welcome!

You will receive a welcome schnapps, served on your first evening, as a reward for this somewhat different journey to get to Bergeralm.
